Sully is a small town in Jasper County that lies on a high ridge between the North and South Skunk Rivers on the rolling midwestern prairie.
Sully is only a short fifteen minute ride south from I-80 about a twenty minute trip from three towns of Newton, Pella, and Grinnell.
Sully’s biggest yearly event salutes our nation’s birthday every July 4th. We’ve kept the spirit of the small town celebration complete with a parade. Expect to see horses, fire trucks and the high school marching band, kids on bikes, tykes on trikes and always a surprise or two in the float competition. Mark your calendars for the 4th of July Parade in Sully.
Sully is also proud to have been chosen to honor our veterans as one of the locations for the “Freedom Rock”. Stop by Sully’s Central Park to view the tribute to our service men and women.
We thank all our veterans for our freedom!
